About Coosa Composites

line-blue

Our roots began in the marine industry at a time when most boats still contained a substantial amount of wood below the waterline, making them highly susceptible to rot. Coosa Composites revolutionized the industry by replacing the traditional wood structural components with our composite panels.

It wasn’t long before other industries recognized the value in Coosa’s composite panels. Today, we support customers from a multitude of different industries who benefit from the lightweight, no rot, exceptionally strong and durable qualities of our Coosa panels.

From our manufacturing plant in Alabama, we have shipped composite panels to customers and distributors throughout the Americas, Australia, the Caribbean, Africa, Europe, the Middle East and Asia, and our footprint continues to grow.

Transportation

As manufacturers become increasingly focused on alternative technologies to reduce weight, increase service life, and eliminate costly mid-life replacement or repairs, Coosa offers the ideal structural panels to radically change the way buses, RVs, trailers, emergency vehicles, shuttle vans, campers, caravans, and other vehicles are designed and built.

Marine

For more than 20 years, Coosa Composites has provided the experience and materials to OEM boat manufacturers and repair yards to eliminate wood and its associated issues from all classes of boats –from small skiffs to large yachts; optimizing vessels for weight, strength, and reducing unnecessary repairs inherent in inferior wood products previously prevalent in marine construction. There are estimated to be more than 200,000 boats on the water containing Coosa’s specialized panels.

Construction

There is now wide acceptance in the architectural and construction industries of composite panels as an innovative material for creating ascetically beautiful and durable structures. Coosa’s panels, being essentially impervious to water, have been used in a wide range of buildings because of their ability to eliminate rot and reduce weight, thereby lowering the cost of installation, and offering superior durability and resilience. Coosa products are especially appropriate for cladding, facades, and high moisture areas.
